Alcohol : How Badly Can It Affect Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Sufferers?
The wonders of alcohol.
The achilles heel for lots of human beings. The ‘norm’ for https://cbdtackle.com/ a few others. And poison when you have CFS/PVFS/ME …
I do not forget when I first got Post Viral Fatigue Syndrome/CFS lower back in 1995, I concept that having a drink or wouldn’t have an effect on me any in another way to my PRE-CFS days. Unfortunately I did not understand what I changed into doing to myself.
I did not know how badly alcohol can have an effect on the severity of this CFS …
Nowadays I do not contact alcohol at all, and have not finished so for a few years now. I’d as an alternative see as a minimum a few hours within the day instead of being bedridden for weeks on quit because of one alcoholic drink!
Because if you have CFS/M.E., you may as well be pouring arsenic down your throat…
——SIDE NOTE——-
Okay – so that comparison is probably a bit ‘dramatic’, but you get what I suggest right?
—–SIDE NOTE——-
You see if you have CFS/M.E., you are in all likelihood to increase **alcohol intolerance**…
The smallest alcoholic drink – even a tiny bit,
can ship you into a relapse – as I learnt the tough way a few years in the past.
Having an alcoholic drink sometimes turned into enough to tip the severity of my PVFS/CFS over the brink and put me in mattress indefinitely.
When a **everyday** character gets inebriated they will feel a piece bad for an afternoon or so, after which, they are back to ‘regular’, bouncing back and raring to go. But whilst a person with M.E./CFS gets under the influence of alcohol – or even has simply one drink, they’re possibly to experience like ‘loss of life warmed up’ for what seems like an eternity!!!
Personally, I do not virtually like alcohol much so I do not miss it. But despite the fact that I did,
I even have realized that alcohol now not makes me sense the manner it used to earlier than I had CFS…
Drinking alcohol now feels like I’m feeding myself poison, and my body reacts thus – i.E. A flare, or worse, a relapse – and I suffer the effects for a long, long time afterward.
Unfortunately, maximum folks CFS sufferers are just no longer sturdy enough to withstand the poisons of alcohol.
So for most of us, it’s alas a case of accepting it, or getting plenty, plenty worse.
As Dr Shepherd writes in his e book ‘Living With M.E.’:
